Less-Invasive Test May Increase Colorectal Cancer Screening

Because nobody enjoys a colonoscopy, a noninvasive test is getting a closer look as a more pleasant alternative for screening workers who may be at higher risk of colorectal cancer due to chemical exposures. The fecal immunochemical test, or FIT, which checks a patient’s stool sample for signs of cancer, was spotlighted last week by Concentra in an article on the occupational medicine company’s website.
