Survey Finds Lower Voc Expert Payments in Comp

Workers’ compensation vocational experts in California were paid an average of $221.59 per hour in 2012, while civil experts were paid an average of $276.12 per hour, a percentage difference of 21.91%, according to results of a survey by San Diego State University.The California chapter of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals commissioned the survey at the request of the Division of Workers’ Compensation as part of the process of developing the Vocational Expert Fee Schedule required by SB 863.  The average hourly rate for civil services not including ...
