High Court Tosses Worker's Bad-Faith Suit

The Mississippi Supreme Court last week threw out a poultry worker’s lawsuit against her employer for failing to report her workers’ compensation claim to its insurance carrier in a timely manner. Stacy Triplett had filed a claim seeking total disability benefits for a psychological injury in 2013 after witnessing a colleague’s gruesome death from a fall into a meat grinder.
