A bill that would require networks to publish a list of participating physicians, and the Division of Workers’ Compensation to publish utilization review data, is heading to the desk of Gov. Gavin Newsom.
The California Senate on Thursday voted 40-0 to concur with amendments Sen. Gerald Hill, D-San Mateo, made to SB 537 while the measure was in the Assembly.
In addition to requiring medical provider networks to publish a roster, the bill would also prohibit networks from altering medical treatment plans or bills.
