A bill introduced in the New York Senate makes another stab at revamping the medical bill dispute process and at how medical providers are authorized to treat injured workers.
Senate Bill 343, sponsored by Sen. Fred Akshar, R-Binghamton, was pre-filed this week and referred to the Senate Labor Committee. It would make several changes to the workers’ compensation law, including the process for how providers are recommended and authorized by the state Workers’ Compensation Board.
