Governor Makes Appointment to Cost Containment Board

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper reappointed Michael W. Mitchell to serve on the Workers’ Compensation Cost Containment Board through 2014.Mitchell, who is president of Floor and Peterson Insurance, was appointed to the board in April 2010. His term expired on Dec. 13, 2011.On Friday, Hickenlooper announced that Mitchell was reappointed as an insurance industry representative on the board with a term expiring Dec. 13, 2014.The appointment requires Senate confirmation.The seven-member Cost Containment Board was created with the Premium Cost Containment Program in 1989.
