A former New Orleans police officer pleaded guilty Nov. 14 in federal district court to one count of mail fraud involving a scheme to defraud the City of New Orleans of workers' compensation benefits, U.S. Attorney Jim Letten announced last week.
Daryl Odom, 38, was charged with attempting to defraud the city of workers' compensation benefits through fraudulent representations from October 2005 through March 2006. Odom had been classified as being temporarily totaled disabled.
