DWC Posts Adjustments to Pathology, Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation posted an order adjusting the pathology and clinical laboratory section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule to adopt changes in the Medicare payment system. The division said the order adopts Medicare’s calendar year 2023 annual update to the pathology and clinical laboratory reimbursement rates. In addition, the DWC ordered continued use of prices for two specified COVID-19 testing codes based upon 120% of the rate established by the California Medicare Administrative Contractor.
