The Nebraska Legislature has two workers' compensation bills on its agenda this session that would limit the circumstances under which workers could receive extra compensation and would make certain mental health ailments compensable for state employees. Sen. Kate Bolz, of Lincoln, sponsored Legislative Bill 244, which allows "frontline state employees" to file workers' compensation claims for work-related mental injuries and illnesses.
