Legislation that would allow injured workers to file civil lawsuits against carriers for bad-faith claims administration if they miss certain deadlines is likely out of contention after the Nevada Assembly failed to pass the bill by the cut-off date to send the measure to the Senate.Assembly Bill 427 would have required a carrier or third-party administrator to request a worker sign a medical release within 14 days of receiving notice of the injury or within 14 calendar days of alleging that the injury was caused by a preexisting condition.
