Virginia this week posted its final version of the Workers’ Compensation Commission’s medical fee schedule rule and on Monday will become the 44th state to regulate maximum provider reimbursements.
Led by vendor Oliver Wyman Actuarial Consulting of Melville, New York, the commission developed seven fee schedules for each of six geographic regions and set the fees at “actual average historical costs for services” based on 2014 and 2015 reimbursements.
