A Fort Myers man has been convicted of workers’ compensation fraud and ordered to pay more than $1 million in restitution, regulators said.
Ivan Alberto Hernandez-Madrigal obtained a minimal workers’ compensation policy for his company, Global Staffing Services, a firm he reported would recruit employees for various construction companies across Florida, the state Department of Financial Services said in a press release.
