The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation is now accepting comments on proposed rules that would give insurers more time to investigate cancer claims before accepting or denying them.
The rules are required by Senate Bill 2551, which the Legislature passed this year in an effort to clarify and expand the types of cancers presumed to be work-related for Texas firefighters.
