A Southern California police officer convicted of workers’ compensation fraud paid $95,870 in restitution, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Jonathan Ridge, 39, was injured in October 2017 while on duty as a Santa Ana police officer. He went out on disability leave immediately as a result of the injuries he suffered from pursuing a suspect driving a stolen vehicle.
He had surgery in May 2018 and was released to return to work in November 2018.
