EMC Insurance is demolishing three century-old brick buildings in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, as it start works on a new four-story office building, the Des Moines Register reported Friday.
EMC expects to spend $12 to $20 million on its new building, which will include an
employee gym, meeting spaces, computer, mechanical and printing equipment and storage, the newspaper said. The insurer plans to rent space in the building facing Walnut Street on the first floor.
