A Rochelle, Georgia-based peanut processer is facing $72,553 in federal fines after an Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspection exposed 28 safety violations.
The citations for McCleskey Mills include exposing workers to fall hazards, a lack of protections for those servicing machines and blocking an exit by installing a piece of sheet metal in front of a door, according to a Monday press release from OSHA.
McCleskey allegedly failed to provide railings on platforms, stairs and ladders and didn't have an eyewash or shower station in areas they were required.
