The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment will review workers’ compensation regulations for efficiency in 2019, according to a regulatory agenda the agency published for the coming year.
The department said the ongoing rule review seeks to “eliminate red tape” by clarifying rules to improve the efficiency of the work comp system.
At the same time, the department said it plans to conduct annual reviews of assessment rates, medical treatment guidelines, utilization rules and the workers’ compensation Medical Fee Schedule.
