DWC Hearing on Designated Doctor Rules Set for Aug. 17

The Texas Division of Workers' Compensation will hold a public hearing Aug. 17 on proposed revisions to the designated doctor rules.The hearing is set for 9 a.m. in suite 100 of the division's offices at 7551 Metro Center Drive in Austin.The DWC will accept public comment on the rules until 5 p.m. Aug. 16.The proposed rules would repeal current provisions in the Texas Administrative Code (28 TAC Section 126.7) and adopt new language "to ensure clarity and efficiency in designated doctor regulation."Designated doctors are assigned by the division to provide medical information to resolv...
