ANAHEIM, California — Deputy Workers’ Compensation Commissioner Anne Schmitz has announced that she will be leaving the Department of Industrial Relations after eight years.
“I’m very excited, but very sad to say goodbye,” Schmitz said while speaking on a panel at the California Applicants’ Attorneys Association Summer Convention on Friday afternoon.
She said she plans to leave within the month to join the State Bar Court, where she will run the unit charged with providing an administrative review of disciplinary decisions by hearing judges.
