Republic Indemnity Names Gene J. Simpson President

Great American Insurance Group on Tuesday named Gene J. Simpson president of its California-based workers’ compensation subsidiary, Republic Indemnity, effective immediately. Simpson brings more than 26 years of insurance experience to the position, the carrier said. Most recently, he was vice president of underwriting and distribution for a work comp carrier in California.
