Bills to raise the benefits cap for survivors of permanently and totally disabled claimants have cleared both the Maryland state Senate and House of Delegates in unanimous votes.
The House voted 140-0 on Saturday to approve House Bill 1294, by Del. Kriselda Valderrama, D-Prince George’s County. The bill has been assigned to the Senate Finance Committee.
Meanwhile, the Senate voted 47-0 on Monday to pass Senate Bill 426, by Sen. Katherine Klausmeier, D-Baltimore County. The bill has been assigned to the House Economic Matters Committee.
