The Nevada Division of Industrial Relations is holding a workshop Feb. 27 on proposed rules allowing lump sum payments for some injured workers permanently disabled on or after July 1, 2017.
The DIR in December adopted emergency regulations allowing workers injured since July 2017 who have a permanent partial disability that doesn’t exceed 30% to choose a lump sum payment. The temporary rules expire April 4.
The division will accept written comments before the workshop and oral testimony during the meeting.
