Claims Processing Administrative Cost Factor Edging Up in 2023

The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division announced that the claims processing administrative cost factor for 2023 is 17.82%. The factor that will be used in 2023 is up slightly from the 17.54% factor used in 2022. From 2018 to 2021, the factor ranged between 20.35% and 24.31%. The factor is used to calculate reimbursement for carriers and self-insured employers that made supplemental disability benefit payments to a preferred worker.
