The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has announced citations for Formosa Plastics Corp. and six subcontractors after they exposed workers to chemical hazards at a work site in Point Comfort, Texas, OSHA announced in a release.
The agency began its investigation of the Point Comfort natural gas-processing facility last October after five incidents involving potential chemical releases in three days that resulted in worker injuries. Combined proposed penalties for the incidents total $96,300.
