DWC Advises Practitioners to Take Note of WC Law Changes

Colorado attorneys and claims administrators should take note of several bills impacting workers' compensation procedures, according to a noticed posted on the Division of Workers' Compensation website. Senate Bill 16-217 makes adjustments to the procedures that employers and insurers must use if they intend to reduce an award by 50% because a claimant misled the employer about his physical ability, failed to use a safety device or failed to follow a safety rule.
