Florida health care providers who treat injured workers are set to get their first raise in eight years with the approval of a new fee schedule on Jan. 1, but there will be no additional money then.
The state’s Division of Workers’ Compensation went through all its required rulemaking steps to update its Health Care Provider Reimbursement Manual, which was to become effective the first of next year, except it failed to win approval from the Florida state Legislature, according to Andrew Sabolic, the division’s assistant director.
