Wary of perpetuating the stereotype of lawyers chasing ambulances, a bipartisan group of attorneys in 2006 got a provision passed that bans Ohio lawyers from soliciting injured workers who file for workers’ compensation benefits.
Now a claimants’ law firm is suing in federal court to have the ban overturned on First Amendment grounds.
