The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is fining a southern Georgia sawmill $56,000 after a worker's arm was amputated in a January accident.
The 29-year-old worker caught his left arm in the drive shaft of a conveyor belt at Griffin Lumber and Hardware in Cordele and lost the limb, according to a Wednesday press release.
