The Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation is increasing the employer assessment that is paid to run the state’s comp system, to 0.9%.
At the same time, the division revised its life expectancy table.
The Workers’ Compensation Cash Fund premium surcharge rate that takes effect July 1 is an increase over the 0.7% surcharge the division adopted last year. In 2015 and 2016, the rate was 0.5%.
The division did not explain why it was increasing the surcharge in the rule-making notice published in the April 10 state register.
