The state of Virginia enacted two pieces of workers’ compensation legislation this year: House Bill 378, which requires the implementation of a workers’ compensation medical fee schedule by Jan. 1, 2018; and HB 44, which creates a presumption of compensability for cases in which a worker dies from an industrial accident.
