Buoyed by rising premiums, AmTrust Financial Services reported a 54.9% increase in net income in the first quarter of 2015.
The company's net income was $154.7 million, compared with $99.9 million during the same time period last year, according to a Tuesday earnings statement. AmTrust grew its net earned premium 14.5% from $829 million to $949 million and its service and fee income 24.1% from $91 million to $112.9 million.
