Bills that would revise time frames for California employers to accept liability for claims and extend the deadline for a study into the effects of utilization review changes that took effect in 2018 were passed out of their houses of origin this week.
The Senate on Tuesday voted 28-9 to pass SB 1127, by Senate President Toni Atkins, D-San Diego. The Assembly on Monday voted 71-0 to pass AB 2848, by Assemblyman Miguel Santiago, D-Los Angeles.
