Bureau Adopts Mediation and Hearing Rule Amendments

The Tennessee Bureau of Workers' Compensation has adopted changes to its mediation and hearing rules that will take effect on Nov. 30, according to a notice in Monday's edition of the state Administrative Register. A change to Rule 0800-02-21-.14 replaces the current rule on expedited hearings and establishes new procedures. The rule change clarifies that medical evidence does not have to be submitted in the form of an affidavit in order to expedite hearings on claims.
