RBRVS Fee Schedule Takes Effect Dec. 1

Medical services provided on or after Dec. 1 will be reimbursed using Medicare's Resource-Based Relative Value Scale under emergency regulations adopted by the Alaska Workers' Compensation Board. The WCB on Oct. 29 approved regulations developed by the Medical Services Review Committee to implement legislation that requires the Workers' Compensation Division to replace the usual and customary reimbursement system for medical services with Medicare's RBRVS fee schedule.
