A former deputy sheriff was indicted last week after a grand jury found reason to believe he had committed workers’ compensation fraud and perjured himself in front of the Workers’ Compensation Board, according to the news site CentralMaine.com.
Scott A. Francis, 40, allegedly received more than $10,000 between March 2013 and October 2013 from the Clinton and Maine Municipal Association by claiming a work-related injury which prevented him from working.
