OSHA Proposing $85,800 in Penalties against Roofing Co. for Fall Hazards

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing $85,800 in penalties against a roofing contractor for exposing workers to fall hazards at two residential projects in Savoy, Illinois. OSHA issued three willful safety violations against Juan Manuel Antonio-Martinez for exposing workers to fall hazards in March and April. OSHA said the citations mark the fifth time it has cited the company for similar violations in the past three years. The company has not cooperated with OSHA during previous inspections, nor has it paid any portion of the $110,880 in total penalties assessed...
