Advisers Discuss Legislation That Would Exempt DNR Volunteers From Coverage

The Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry’s Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council met Wednesday and discussed a legislative proposal to exempt volunteers with the Department of Natural Resources from workers’ compensation coverage. DNR has more than 30,000 volunteers who help improve state parks, campgrounds, wildlife management areas, fisheries and hatcheries, and DNR’s 150 area offices.
