The New York Department of Public Health would be required to scrutinize pharmacy benefit manager data, under a bill recently introduced in the Assembly.
AB 3447, by Assemblywoman Linda B. Rosenthal, D-Manhattan, would add the requirement to a law that already directs the Department of Public Health to periodically analyze data in the prescription monitoring program registry to identify possible violations of law and breaches of professional standards.
The bill was introduced Jan. 26 and referred to the Health Committee.
