Friday, April 14, 2017 | 0

The Ohio Industrial Commission Nominating Council will hold its annual meeting Monday to discuss the open public member seat on the Industrial Commission, review the 2016 Ombuds Office Annual Report and elect new officers.

The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, 230 E. Town St., third-floor conference room, in Columbus.

The council was created to review candidate vacancies on the three-member Industrial Commission and to submit three qualified candidates to the governor every two years. It also appoints a chief ombuds officer for a six-year term and meets annually to review the office’s performance.

The council has 12 members who represent employers, labor, the Association of Justice and the general public.
