Cyrus Sorat, the lead defendant in a federal whistleblower complaint alleging a fraudulent compound drug prescription scheme involving 201 California doctors, is required to begin a three-year sentence in a related criminal case by Oct. 31.A federal judge at the U.S. District Court in New Hampshire on Aug. 1 sentenced Sorat – whose first name is spelled “Sirous” in the federal criminal complaint and "Cyrus" in the whistleblower complaint – to 37 months in federal prison.
