Arizona will no longer suspend certain contractors' licenses if they do not carry workers' compensation insurance after Republican Gov. Doug Ducey's signature on Senate Bill 1116.
SB 1116, which Ducey signed Monday, repeals a requirement that the Arizona Registrar of Contractors suspend the licenses of general remodeling and repair contractors without workers' compensation coverage.
The bill also modifies payment schedule requirements for residential in-ground swimming pool and spa installation contractors.
