The Texas Office of Injured Employee Counsel posted online two posters that must be posted in workplaces: an Ombudsman Program notice that all employers are required to display, and a notice about the state’s new first responder advocacy program.
The OIEC said changes were made to the ombudsman notice in April, its first update since 2013. The poster, posted in a printable format, informs employees that an ombudsman is available to assist with a workers’ compensation claim if they are not represented by an attorney. The office said the poster should be posted immediately.
