NCCI Recommends 1.2% Rate Cut for 2017

The Idaho Department of Insurance said workers’ compensation rates are set to drop 1.2% in 2017. The National Council on Compensation Insurance is recommending the overall rate reduction, the department said in a statement Tuesday. While claim frequency has remained consistent, medical costs per case have “leveled off” leading in an overall decrease in the average cost per claim, the department said.
