Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam on Monday signed legislation that will reduce the registration fee for construction company executives who choose to exempt themselves from the state's workers' compensation law.Senate Bill 2923, filed by Sen. Doug Overbey, R-Maryville, reduces the fee for registering and renewing registration with the Workers' Compensation Exemption Registry from $100 to $50.
