Court Says Offers of Proof Should Be Allowed in Comp Cases

The North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled that parties in a workers' compensation case are entitled to make an offer of proof in order to preserve evidence for appellate review, however the denial of an employer's ability to do so in a dispute over a worker's death from a methadone overdose was harmless error. Case: Willard v.
