The Delaware Division of Industrial Affairs has adopted a change to its health care payment rules that will change the reimbursement formula for anesthesia services, according to a notice in the Nov. 1 edition of the state Register.
The division is amending Workers' Compensation Regulation 4.20.1.1 to state that payment for anesthesia services will be derived by adding time units, a physical status modifier and qualifying circumstances to the Medicare base rate and multiplying by the state's conversion factor.
