Fall Hazards Lead to Another Round of Citations for Roofing Contractor

A roofing contractor that has been cited for safety violations seven times in the past five years is now facing $133,604 in proposed federal penalties for allegedly exposing workers to fall hazards at a work site in Birmingham, Alabama. Jose A. Serrato, an independent roofing contractor based in Marietta, Georgia, was cited on March 16 by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
