Firefighters Band Together at State House to Lobby for Cancer Presumption Bill

Firefighters rallied at the Connecticut State Capitol and gathered outside the House of Representatives to put pressure on lawmakers, who have avoided discussing a bill that would create a cancer presumption for illnesses such as non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, according to the Connecticut Mirror.  The state Senate passed Senate Bill 593 in March after merging it with a second bill that addressed post-traumatic stress disorder treatment for first responders who witness a death.  The bill was expected to reach pushback by House members ,who feared that the bill was overly broad...
