Managed Care Advisors Acquires WebOpus Federal

Managed Care Advisors Inc. has acquired WebOpus Federal, a cloud-based workers’ compensation case management, document storage and reporting system that has been customized for federal agencies.

WebOpus Federal is compliant with all security and privacy requirements for U.S. federal systems. It is housed in a data center that has received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, or FedRAMP, accreditation.

The software helps enhance coordination among agency workers’ compensation staff, medical professionals and case management workers, MCA said.

MCA said it will offer the software either as software as a service, or SaaS, or packaged with case management services. The company also plans to integrate prevention and safety functions.

Managed Care Advisors is a case management and consulting company specializing in workers’ compensation claims management, specialty health plan management, benefits consulting, disability and absence management, and program management. MCA is based in Bethesda, Maryland.
