The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board has revised its proposed formulary regulations to require pre-authorization for any drugs that are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration, including compounded medicines.
The board also clarified the effective dates of the regulation in response to more than 60 public comments that were received after its initial proposal, according to a notice posted in last week’s New York State Register.
